This was written as a result of the viewing of the CBS Evening News tonight and the sad fact that we have people in our government who don’t have the brain power of 3 monkeys and a coconut.

That would seem to include all the Republicans, the Libertarians, and maybe the 3 Blue Dog Democrats that think we are not ruining the planet with carbon dioxide emissions, among other things.
I have not the money, nor the inclination, to become a world traveler, and see first hand the changes that are giving rise to the ruination of our world. But for those who have the time and resources, such as the former Governor of Alaska, whose eyes are not open enough to see that, at the top of her state, bad things are happening to the land, the Arctic Ocean, and the polar bears, she might want to take a little junket to the Maldives, where sea levels are changing and their country is literally going away. For the less than well read, the sea levels are rising because, overall, there is less water on the planet in the form of ice than there has been since the beginning of the industrial revolution. It only takes a small amount of learning to put the clues together. But the stupid, and those paid to be that way, can’t seem to make the connection.
Maybe more evidence, or that is more stark, undeniable evidence, could be had by going straight to the islands of Kiribati in the Pacific Ocean. Those people are seeing their land, such as it is, disappear in front of their eyes, and what was last decades front yard is now the new ocean pool, complete with sea creatures.
There have been several programs detailing the loss of acreage these people are facing, and how their small government is planning for the eventual displacement of the entirety of their citizens to Australia. People who watch programs on PBS would know that it was most recently covered by NOW, and host David Brancaccio.
The fact that there have been a few negative changes in the overall heat increase over the earth can be equated to a minor league team winning a few games in a head to head contest against the New York Yankees, it might be bit strange to see, but the smart money is on Steinbrenner’s team.
There was an old saying about how there are none so blind as those who will not see, but do we have to all be carried along by these blind-as-a-bat dimwits who don’t know how to tell the truth, and, more importantly, don’t read or learn much of anything.
This is why the Republicans are fast becoming known as the party of the stupid. And no, I don’t mean ignorant. Ignorance is having no knowledge of a situation, stupid is having knowledge, and refusing to acknowledge the information. Sarah Palin, and all of her followers should take their collective thimble of knowledge, and use their remaining time on the planet constructively, by attending any institution of learning that will put up with them.
