Despite the best efforts of the top search engines, there is still a lot to be desired when you search for something. No matter how much you strive to structure the query, there is always something missing.
This piece by the NYTimes reflects much of this frustration and perhaps a bit more. But the idea that engines like Bing are doing anything short of resorting the same crappy results is a joke.
In all cases, the new holy grail seems to be personalized search. An interesting concept, likely to be flawed and as ineffective as real time search has proven to be. I just wish search engines would work on their algorithms spend less time with clever buzz words.
