As I read through this, I suddenly realized why Next Jump was working so hard to hide what it was doing from folks until it was ready to unveil its master plan. Apparently, its job is to connect consumers with various products. Big deal, right? Hang on a second. It gets better.
It is not only eyeballing the iPhone for product distribution, but also it is said to be something like a Priceline for consumer goods — brand names, membership level pricing. If the pricing is showing a big enough savings, this could be very big indeed.
Imagine bidding on products, not in an auction, but over your phone and quite likely getting the price you bid for. Yeah, this is like eBay… but on steroids. I guess the real question is whether or not this is going to be fully understood outside of the geek community or not? That my friends, is the million dollar question.
