I had previously mentioned that I had purchased the Garmin 205W back in December when it was on sale at Newegg for $99.99, which I thought was a great price. So seeing the same unit on sale at Amazon for the same holiday price drew my attention and I thought I would pass this information on.
I have enjoyed using my Garmin 205W and have recently updated the on screen vehicle as well as having tried different voices. In order to contact your Garmin to a computer you need a Micro B – USB cable. I found one at Walmart for $7.82, which was about 50% less than Garmin wanted on their site.
The Garmin 205W is a very basic unit, but gets to where you want to go. Voice directions are clearly stated and easy to understand.
The Garmin 260W provides street names to help you find your way around town, even easier. Both units are currently on sale. This model sells for $124.88.
