Seems like everywhere we turn, iPad alternatives are popping up. Well now we have Sony reducing the price of their own Pocket Reader, coming into the new price point at $169. Now while the price is fantastic, I am of the mind that the best option not in the iPad realm remains the Kindle.
The fact of the matter is Amazon hits all the bases. Connect anywhere, thousands of books and it’s providing a truly readable experience.
Will the temporary price cut from Sony really help them get some of the Pocket Readers out the door then? In light of the iPad or the Kindle, no way in the world anyone in their right mind is going to care to be honest. I believe Sony has done too little, too late.
