The idea that Google Docs will be set to take on Microsoft Office, as mentioned in the past, is not as simple as one might think. Especially when it comes to spreadsheets and presentation software.
The fact of the matter is that Google Docs are still under heavy development and have bugs. The one bug I have experienced on multiple browsers and multiple platforms as well. It happens every so often; you go to File and boom — it automatically takes you to upload.
So outside of the lack of immediately provide templates or the familiar UI, Google Docs is not likely to make the dent it might like. But hey, I use Google Docs as much as the next guy. It’s possible that, in a few years, we may see Google Docs making massive gains. After all, the pricing options can be fairly attractive.
