With the resent fuss up in Canada about 3G data plans being overpriced, people are rethinking how much they should be paying for data. Rogers Communications is charging users a whopping 35 dollars for 5GB of data per month. In the United States, AT&T is charging their customers only 30 dollars per month for unlimited data.
Now I’m not one to tell businesses what they should be pricing their product at, but this is quite intrusive into customer’s pockets. Lets face it, data is cheap and really doesn’t cost that much for the company to maintain, especially when they’re overpricing it like Rogers.
Should we be accepting pricing like this from carriers?
