Does BillShrink Help Walmart Customers Save Money?
On its Web site, Walmart has now included BillShrink, which it describes as a way for customers to save money on their phone bills. In a press release Walmart states that, in conjunction with its promotion of Straightalk (the pay as you go cell service) the company wants to provide its customers with alternatives to what it describes as high cell phone bills.
The day before yesterday I was at our local Walmart store and stopped by its cell phone department to see what it had to offer for its Straightalk lineup of phones. I had checked out the Walmart site and was interested in the Samsung model, which provided everything my wife and I wanted in a replacement phone.

Unfortunately our local store did not have this particular model in stock, which I just wanted to look at. According to the sales associate, this model has been selling very well and it should be receiving the models in stock ‘really soon.’ Since this isn’t something we needed today, I decided to wait until the phone arrived.
With this in mind, I gave BillShrink a try on the Walmart Web site. I entered in the data as requested and was presented with a listing of possible cell phones and companies who provided services that I was looking for. On the left side of the screen was an area that told me how much money I could save by using one of these services.
I had previously visited Web sites for some of the big cell phone companies, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile and was familiar with the service plans the companies currently offered. I did not see anything on the Walmart BillShrink site that was any different than what I found on my own. However, your mileage may vary depending on what services you may be looking for.
Give BillShrink a try on the Walmart site and see what you think.
