Microsoft reported last month an increase of earnings that topped 28% for Windows sales and was a direct result of sales of Windows 7, their newest operating system. I must admit I am a Windows 7 fanboy and I enjoying using the latest version of Windows. I have 3 computers running Windows 7 Ultimate and all 3 systems run great.  My personal laptop I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 which I previously have reported about. I personally believe that Windows 7 is a perfected version of Vista that Microsoft finally got right. IMHO. I also have two other computers in my home, one laptop and one desktop, that use Windows XP and both machines also run just fine. Neither system has enough poop to run Windows 7, so staying with XP was a no brainer.

According to a release from Microsoft it stated:

Windows revenue was up 28%, compared with the same quarter a year earlier, driven by strong demand for Windows 7. More than 10% of all PCs worldwide are running Windows 7 today, making Windows 7 by far the fastest-selling operating system in history.

If Windows 7 is the fastest selling operating system in history, will Windows 7 be the next Windows XP?

What do you think?
