The new screen shots of Google Chrome OS are impressive. The appearance of the OS being offered is impressive, to say the least. And from what I am seeing, it looks like a clean level of usability is being presented.
Now to the meats and potatoes of the OS. Will access to Web apps honestly provide netbook users with the kind of experience they are looking for? Possibly, assuming you have immediate access to the Internet.
But that is the rub. The problem is that, without an Internet connection, one must ask themselves how useful Chrome OS is. While most of us use the Internet 98% of the time on netbooks, there are instances where I do use offline apps. Will you use Chrome OS, even if it limits what you can do?
