They say the camera adds 10 lbs to anyone, but how about adding 100 lbs? A new iPhone application is taking social networks by storm, “Fatbooth” allows you to pile on the weight without stuffing your face with junk food.

Created by British company PiVi & Co, who recently had a hit with “Agingbooth” (an image manipulator that showed us how we’ll look as pensioners), they return with another application guaranteed to knock more points off your self-esteem.

If you’ve ever wondered what you’d look like if you decided to go on a six-month cake-eating spree, this app can show you. While it’s mainly intended for entertainment value, I’m sure there will be people who will use it as an incentive to follow healthy-eating and exercise plans.

Simply take a front-facing photo using your iPhone’s built in camera, or select an existing shot from your gallery; the app will then try and work out the features of the face automatically, but you may need to adjust the finer points yourself.

Within a few seconds you will be greeted by a pretty shocking picture of yourself, looking like an extra from the Klumps. The image can then be shared directly from the app onto Facebook, Twitter, or by email, ready for ridicule from your friends.

Fatbooth is iPhone, iPod touch and iPad compatible, and costs 99c/59p from the iTunes App Store.
