When we purchase a mobile phone, we like to believe that it, and the content we install to it, is something that belongs to us. Sadly, this is not always the case. It seems that Google feels that it has dominion over your Android device to such an extent that it is fine with remotely deleting applications it might not happen to agree with. So much for the open Android platform.

Now to be fair, this technology was designed to protect users should an application prove to be dangerous for the user and would be done after being pulled from the Android Marketplace.

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. So is the ability to remotely delete applications from your Android phone, as it were. Does this seem fair to you? Hit the comments and share your thoughts on this Google ability for remote app deletion.
