For security reasons, you should delete any user accounts that you no longer use. Once you delete a user account, you can no longer log on to the computer using that user name and password.

To delete a user account in Windows 7:

  1. Click Start and click Control Panel.
  2. Click User Accounts within the Control Panel.
  3. Click Manage another account.
  4. From the list of user accounts, select the one you want to delete.
  5. Click Delete the account.
  6. Choose whether you want to keep the user’s files or delete them.

Once you complete the steps described above, the user account is permanently deleted for your computer.
