For security reasons, you should delete any user accounts that you no longer use. Once you delete a user account, you can no longer log on to the computer using that user name and password.
To delete a user account in Windows 7:
- Click Start and click Control Panel.
- Click User Accounts within the Control Panel.
- Click Manage another account.
- From the list of user accounts, select the one you want to delete.
- Click Delete the account.
- Choose whether you want to keep the user’s files or delete them.
Once you complete the steps described above, the user account is permanently deleted for your computer.
