These days it seems like while the west is slow to get the latest, cheapest products out the door, India and other similar nations are able to produce what we might deem impossible: introducing what is being described as the $35 laptop. The problem is, this appears to be a tablet computer — not so much a laptop the way we know it. Regardless of what you prefer to call it, for $35, you can take this Android powered unit for a spin. Well, at least that is the claim to fame.

Speaking for myself, I am a bit wary as to whether we’ll ever see something like this in our neck of the woods. I mean, this strikes me as a tablet set for a target market in the east, not west. But I may be wrong on this and we may, indeed, end up seeing this come our way after all.

What do you think? Do you believe that we’ll end up seeing a tablet like this at a similar price point in our region of the world? Maybe, instead, there is a third option you have in mind that goes in an entirely new direction? Hit the comments; share your thoughts.
