Over and over, we’ve all heard about the ultimately glorious iPhone coming to Verizon, circa early 2011. And for the most part, Verizon users seem fairly anxious to receive the iPhone as a choice, along side a number of fantastic Android based phones. After all, choice is a good thing. But how will the iPhone coming to Verizon really affect things?

This article indicates that offering an Apple product such as the iPhone is a real nightmare from the mobile carrier’s perspective. While that might bring forth a little evil delight for some, it’s an issue that could very well be passed on down to us as consumers.

Then there is the question of a data bog down. Verizon has had it easy with data compared to AT&T due to the fact that they are not burdened with as many data users. Well, that is what AT&T wanted us to think for a time. Seems that truth is stranger than fiction as Verizon users are already using more data than iPhone users on AT&T.

So what does all of this mean? Outside of Apple being a real pain in the butt for Verizon, it would appear that come 2011, iPhone users will be heard in a manner than is going to decimate AT&T very quickly. Verizon will have to buckle down the hatches and hope that the huge influx of new customers, is something they are ready for.
