Word 2007 includes a nifty Preview option that lets you see the contents of a document without actually having to open it. This feature comes in handy when you’re looking for information but not sure in which document it’s contained.
To use the Preview feature:
- Within Word, click the Microsoft Office Button and click Open.
- From the Open window, click the drop down arrow beside Views and click Preview. The Preview pane appears.
- From the Preview pane, click any file and preview the contents in the left pane.
- When you find the file you’re looking for, Click Open.
