There should be an image here!When you install Office 2010, you are prompted to provide the author name. Word automatically assigns this author name to any new Word documents that you create. If you ever need to change the author name, it’s very simple to do.

To change the author name in Word 2010:

  1. Within Word, click the File tab and then click Options.
  2. Select the General option on the left hand side of the Word options window.
  3. Under the Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office section, change the User name and Initials fields.
  4. Click OK.
