Everyone in Canada has seen those dropped call commercials by Rogers within the last year or so. In fact, the company claims that they have the fewest dropped calls of any network in Canada. However, the Canadian Competition Bureau thinks otherwise, slamming a penalty of $10 million against Rogers for the misleading advertisements.

On Friday the bureau admitted that it had been extensively investigation Rogers for over two months. They’re requesting of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice that, in addition to the $10 million fine, that Rogers halt it’s advertising campaign and pay back restitution to customers that have been affected by their advertising.

Rogers has stated that it will indeed be defending itself, insisting that they’ve tested extensively in their coverage area across Canada. Furthermore, the company says that the advertising they’ve produced is accurate according to their results.
