You can say what you will about WikiLeaks. To me, it seems clear that it makes itself known for leaking secrets. It does so a little bit at a time. That is how it makes money at it. It keeps your interest up. Almost in a manner that a certain kind of woman would in a certain kind of club… it keeps the public interested and it comes back as it is spoon fed more “secrets.” If the site exposed everything all at once, it would rather defeat the purpose. This exclusivity gives the leaks value.

What happens if your secrets are no longer secret? From Views and News from Norway, I learned that WikiLeaks seems to no longer have a scoop.

“Aftenposten has earlier disclosed that it had gained access to all the WikiLeaks documents that started being made public last month. WikiLeaks itself had intended to control their distribution through exclusive agreements with several major media outlets…”

The article also mentioned that the newspaper’s editor would not disclose “how” it obtained these documents. I must admit, I would like to hear how WikiLeaks responds to this, if it responds at all. I mean, what can it say?
