Here is a quick tip for repairing Windows 7 system files. Hope this never happens to you – but if your Windows 7 system files become corrupt, there is a quick way to scan and repair the files without having to reboot your computer.

There should be an image here!

  1. Click Start, type Command in the search box.
  2. Right click Command Prompt, click Run as Administrator and accept the elevated permissions.
  3. At the command prompt, type sfc/ scannow.

Your system files are scanned and any corrupt files are repaired.
