I always enjoy reading articles about how you can make money by buying something and then selling it to someone else. In this scheme it involves the selling of your old jailbroken iPhone from AT&T and selling it on eBay. The theory being that there are people outside of the U.S. who would be willing to buy an iPhone at a premium. Here is how it is supposed to work:
You discontinue your service with At&T and pay the $325 cancellation fee for terminating the service. You also get a $10 discount for each month you have fulfilled of your two-year contract. If you have completed say 6 months, you would get a $60 credit so your termination fee would be about $285.
You go over and sign up with Verizon and pay them $299 for a new phone plus another two-year contract.
So now you have paid $285 to AT&T plus $299 to Verizon for a total of $584.
You jailbreak your AT&T iPhone 4 and sell it on eBay. Take a look at the link below. Some have bided over $900 for the phone. Some are even selling the iPhone 4 for $1,199.
See how simple this all is?
Of course all you have to do to save a bundle is to go over to the Straight Talk site, buy a smartphone for about $250 and get unlimited service for $45 a month. No fuss, no muss and no two-year contract.
