While you might be shaking your head at the slightly less impressive second generation iPad, you may want to take a glance at the Apple store online where 16GB Wifi iPads are selling at $350 for refurbished models and $399 for factory fresh. In my experience, refurbished Apple products are just as reliable and shiny as their newer counterparts. Screens are typically replaced, and testing is done to make sure the product works exactly like it should.

Whether you’re looking for something brand new or refurbished, the announcement today didn’t give much reason for an upgrade unless you really want to use the iPad as a camera or make video calls. The faster processor is a plus if you use the iPad for a lot of video editing and/or heavy gaming.
