Hootsuite Social Analytics provides a comprehensive and cost-effective way to track social media analytics. Competitors such as Radian6 are often geared towards larger corporations and can’t be scaled down effectively for a small business or brand; Radian6 will cost about $500/month compared to Hootsuite’s $5.99/mo for one user (you can add another team member for $15.99/month each.) Hootsuite is, of course still free to use as a Twitter client, but these social analytics tools are only available for Hootsuite Pro users.
Hootsuite Pro users can access Hootsuite Social Analytics by upgrading to the Pro Plan, which gives users 550 Analytics Points. These Analytics points can be redeemed to generate reports about your followers including Custom, Proposal, Ow.ly Click Summary, Google Analytics and Facebook Insights. Additional metrics that can be analyzed with Hootsuite Anlytics include a following and number of lists, mentions – which lists the most influential Twitter users (as measured by Topsy) who are mentioning your profile, and keywords – which charts the use of keywords over time. These keywords can be compared in convenient line, stacked or pie graphs. Additionally, using Hootsuite Social Analytics you can chart your followers over time and see summary stats for total clicks for all links sent out from your account via Twitter. The great thing about Hootsuite Analytics is the ability to not only track analytics for multiple twitter accounts, but also compare these metrics against each account to measure the success of various marketing campaigns.
Upgrading to Hootsuite Pro for access to Social Analytics also provides additional upgraded features, including unlimited social profiles, unlimited RSS feeds, Google Analytics integration, Facebook Insights integration, influence scores, and the removal of ads from the Hootsuite Platform. Hootsuite’s Social Analytics also offers Facebook Insights and Google Analytics tools, including the ability to breakdown fans by gender and age and look at your twitter to web conversions within Hootsuite Analytics. The integration of Google Analytics and Facebook Insights, combined with Hootsuite’s ability to measure the metrics of multiple Twitter accounts, makes it especially easy to track and leverage multiple social media accounts.
If you don’t have a Hootsuite account yet, visit Hootsuite.com to sign up, and then upgrade to HootSuite Pro to start using Social Analytics.
