Evernote is one of the most popular productivity and organizational apps that can be used on multiple platforms and devices. With Evernote, you can jot down notes and take snapshots of just about anything in your life, and Evernote makes it easy to remember these things whether big or small using your computer, phone, and the web. You can type a text note, clip a web page, snap a photo, or grab a screenshot – and Evernote will keep it all safe, in one place. Evernote syncs between devices, so your notes are easily accessible wherever you are, and anything noted is easily searchable by keyword, titles, and tags. Evernote can even take printed and handwritten text and make it searchable, too. It is an ideal way to keep organized and keep track of things – especially the little ones.
Today, Evernote got even better with an upgrade to Evernote for Windows that brings some social features. Now, Evernote for Windows users can share a single note with friends and family using Facebook, Twitter, email using a new Share button added to the menu bar. This share button allows a user to Tweet, email, or post to Facebook, a single note. (It’s important to keep in mind that sharing this note makes it completely public and available to anyone with access to the URL.) Evernote for Windows users can also share notebooks now, too, which Evernote says on its blog is the “perfect option when you’re working on a group project, planning a family trip or brainstorming with your team–anything that’s more substantial than a single note.” Evernote for Windows users can just click on the Shared tab above the notebook list to share a Notebook.
Other improvements for Evernote for Windows include benefits for writers. Evernote for Windows now features word and character counts, which can be activated in the View menu. If you choose this option, you’ll see a bar along the bottom of the note panel with the word and character count. Evernote for Windows also now features the ability to find and replace, and the indenting has been improved, too.
