Huawei's CNY 1,399 Enjoy 100 Pairs the Pro's 6,100mAh Battery With HarmonyOS 7 Fake-Voice and Scam-Call Warnings

Huawei's base Enjoy 100 keeps the Enjoy 100 Pro's 6,100mAh battery and 40W charging for CNY 400 less, swaps OLED and the 50MP camera for a 90Hz LCD and 13MP, and lists AI warnings for faked voices and scam calls.

Huawei’s product page leads with three things: the Kirin 8000S chip, a 6,100mAh battery with 40W charging, and what it calls 鸿蒙星盾防诈, HarmonyOS’s scam shield. The battery number comes with a footnote. The spec sheet lists 6,100mAh as the typical value and the rated capacity as 6,000mAh, the same pair of numbers printed on the Pro’s.

The scam features take up a full section. Huawei lists AI voice-change detection, AI risky-web-page detection, AI script-scam protection and AI risky-QR-code detection. The voice feature “can identify forged voices” and pops up a warning during a call, in Huawei’s words. The script-scam one is the clever bit: if you’re on a call with an unknown number, open a risky web page and then open a payment app to transfer money, the phone warns you, linking what happens across apps.

GSMArena’s Siddharth reported the phone is up for pre-order in China at CNY 1,399 for 128GB and CNY 1,699 for 256GB, and goes on sale there October 31. Huawei’s listing for it is on its China site.

All three take 40W wired charging, Bluetooth 6.0 and HarmonyOS 7. Figures come from Huawei’s own pages: the Enjoy 100 Pro and its spec sheet, and the Enjoy 100 Pro Max and its spec sheet.

The fine print at the bottom of the Enjoy 100 page narrows the scam features a lot. Voice detection “currently only supports” carrier calls, Huawei’s MeeTime calls and WeChat calls. Risky-page detection works only in Huawei Browser, and only for fake high-return investment sites, fake customer service and click-farming refund scams. Every one of the AI warnings carries the same disclaimer, that it is “a risk reminder for reference only” and “does not constitute any security commitment or guarantee.”

The Wi-Fi 7 badge has limits too. The spec sheet lists 2.4GHz and 5GHz only, with 80MHz channels, so the 6GHz band and the wide 320MHz channels that make Wi-Fi 7 fast on paper aren’t there. Huawei’s own footnote says you need a Wi-Fi 7 router to use it. The base model’s spec sheet also lists no NFC, while the Pro and Pro Max sheets do.

For anyone setting up a phone for a parent, the coverage list matters more than the feature list. A scam that comes in over a messaging app Huawei doesn’t name, or sends the victim to a page in a browser other than Huawei’s, falls outside what the page promises. The Pro’s page lists the script-scam and QR-code features but not voice-change detection, and Huawei hasn’t explained whether that’s a page edit or a real difference between the two phones.
