Kobodeck Makes a Kobo Find Saved Articles by Pretending USB Was Connected
The add-on downloads Readeck articles for the stock reader, then nudges its library through a simulated USB event.

The reader already knows how to find newly copied books. Kobodeck gives it an imaginary cable to remind it.
The project’s README says it triggers a rescan “via a simulated USB event” after downloading articles when a network interface connects. You can keep Kobo’s familiar reading interface instead of replacing it with another reading app.
The current instructions say to press Connect to rescan immediately. Cancel leaves the files downloaded. The cable is fictional; the extra dialog is still real.
Finished status and favorites can go back to Readeck, but highlights and reading positions do not. The README lists testing on Kobo Libra Colour, with other devices outside official support. Owners need that distinction before assuming their whole reading setup comes along.
The next useful improvement would be closing the gap between getting an article onto the reader and bringing the reader’s annotations back home.
