Magical Share sends files through moving QR codes with the radios off
Magical Share uses a sender’s screen and an Android receiver’s camera to transfer files optically. The maker offers optional key protection for the receiving phone.

The screen is the transmitter. The camera is the receiver. Magical Share’s product page describes files crossing that gap as moving codes, without internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or pairing.
The platform split matters before you start pointing devices at each other. Android can send and receive. Mac and browser versions send to Android; the page says iPhone and iPad support is coming. It offers seven free days followed by a one-time unlock, with receiving from other phones always free.
The maker says the Android app does not request internet access. It also says key protection prevents someone who films the screen from opening the file. That is the maker’s security claim, not an independent assessment of its encryption.
The next useful measurement is how long your actual file takes under your lighting and camera conditions. The light path avoids pairing, but it still has to deliver every byte.
